Locupix.com (the "Service") is operated by Locupix, LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in the State of Delaware and headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA ("Locupix", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in with Google, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to register.

Account Registration

  • You may register either by providing a username, email, and password, or by signing in with Google.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
  • You must not impersonate another person or use an email address you do not own.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and any connected sign-in methods confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us at the address in the Contact section if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Email Verification

Some features require you to verify your email address. Accounts whose email is not verified within a reasonable period may be limited, suspended, or removed.

Pricing

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future. If we do, we will give you advance notice and you will not be charged for any new paid feature without your express consent.

Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the security or integrity of the Service;
  • Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) except as expressly permitted by us, including bypassing anti-bot challenges such as Cloudflare Turnstile;
  • Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm other users;
  • Create multiple accounts to evade limits, suspensions, or bans, or to manipulate progress, leaderboards, or other Service mechanics;
  • Attempt to access the API or admin endpoints without authorization, or share API keys.

AI-Generated Content

Translations, definitions, romanizations, and audio used in lessons are generated in part with the help of artificial intelligence (currently OpenAI’s APIs) and are reviewed against curated source material where possible. Despite our efforts, AI-generated content may contain errors, mistranslations, or culturally inappropriate phrasing. The Service is intended to support language learning and should not be relied on for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or professional translation purposes. If you spot an error, please report it so we can improve.

Intellectual Property

The Locupix software, branding, lesson structure, curated content, and design elements are the exclusive property of Locupix, LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial language-learning purposes, subject to these Terms.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, such as feedback or suggestions you provide to us. By submitting it, you grant Locupix a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and adapt that content solely to operate, support, and improve the Service.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers, including Google (for OAuth sign-in), Cloudflare (for anti-abuse challenges), OpenAI (for AI-generated content), our email-delivery provider, and, where enabled, Google AdSense for ads. Your use of those features may be subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies in addition to these Terms. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for conduct we reasonably believe violates these Terms, harms other users, or exposes Locupix to legal or operational risk. The Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and Contact sections survive any termination.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Locupix, LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, USA, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
